Tips and tricks to make your hair silky smooth

We all girls have a love-hate kinda relationship with our hair. Sometimes it’s just so easy-peasy to maintain and sometimes it gives us a really hard time to even make a hairstyle out of it. The struggle is quite real when we are dealing with rough and dull hair. With all the pollution, heat, chemicals and other environmental factors, our hair gets exposed to it’s quite obvious for it to lose out on all the silky smooth texture. Well, all the girls are not blessed with such silky smooth hair but girls who are blessed with such hair texture can relate to it. Fret not, you still have a lot of time to revive your hair back to its natural state. This can easily be done by following a few tips and tricks that are super easy to begin with.

1. Feed it with oil

Oiling your hair once or twice a week is one of the most effective ways of promoting good hair growth. It helps in rejuvenating hair follicles and provides all kinds of nutrients and needed moisture to the hair. The oiling process is very easy and relaxing process to begin with. You can use any oil you like. Heat it up a little before applying to the hair for better and effective results. You can do this process 20-30 minutes prior to shower. Massage the oil nicely and gently onto your scalp and then cover with a warm towel. Wash it off using a mild shampoo and you are good to go.

2. Apply yogurt

We know you may think yogurt is meant to be eaten and not to be applied to something like hair. But let us clear this confusion of yours, yogurt is believed to be rich in proteins and vitamins which our hair requires for its healthy growth, cleansing of scalp and cleaning all the dead skin cells away. Apart from all these amazing things it makes your hair more stronger, shinier, and smoother, what else we can ask for.

Take some amount of curd in a bowl, apply it to your hair using fingers or brush. Let it stay for about 40-45 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. This hair mask works wonder for your hair if you follow this routine religiously.

3. Replace the cotton pillowcase with silk ones

Believe it or not but a pillowcase greatly influences the texture of your hair especially if it’s a cotton one. It is believed to absorb all the moisture from your hair resulting in them looking all rough and dry. Whereas, some pillow casings like silk and satins work the best here and is considered to be the smartest choice to add to your bedding. Such material ensures your hair doesn’t get stripped off of its natural oils.

4. Give it a wash with beer

It may seem a crazy thing to do, but beer is known to be beneficial for both skin and hair. Many beer shampoos have also been introduced in the market. Just one application of beer to your hair can result in it looking all glossy and bouncy. It also helps in repairing your damaged hair and revive it back to its natural state.

5. Blot dry it using an old t-shirt

Rubbing or blot drying your hair with a towel may be one of the reasons for your hair looking all dull and gloss ridden. It is due to the amount of friction that gets produced because of all the rubbing or the material of your towel. An easy way of drying your hair is to do it with an old t-shirt of yours. This would ensure your cuticle stays tight and closed and no harm is caused to your hair.
